Our experience with IDEA has been quite an adventure one for us. We are beginners and always full of questions. We must admit that at first there were a lot of fears. Not being able to see the person we are talking with or shake their hand was a little unusual. We were putting our trust into someone’s hands we had never met. We first talked to SF office and Ben. When the Indian team took over the project we got excited and could hardly wait to hear from them. They have been great and a pleasure to work with. I would like to take this opportunity to say that I have been very pleased with the efforts of IDEA on my behalf with my patent. Although my product is still in the early development process, I am impressed with these employees' professionalism and expertise. I appreciate that the product managers, engineers and industrial designers have worked in constant communication with each other. I am happy that they have informed and included me in their teleconferences in the development of my patent idea. Sometimes the most innovative and interesting ideas come out of everyday experiences. This was how I came up with this idea of a semi-stationary sunshade. I really believe in my idea. Thanks to the engineers' suggestions, I really think that they have even improved upon the concept of my idea.

To be honest, I was somewhat reluctant to again invest my resources in my patent. Previously, I utilized another company to develop my patent. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in their efforts. That company did not include me in conferences. That company produced an uninteresting prototype. That company kept assigning my patent to one marketing agent after another. That company eventually put my patent on an inactive status.

I look forward to seeing the upcoming stages of the development of my patent with IDEA. I am very interested in seeing the end result of this process. Because of my past experience with that other company, I am very concerned with the marketing of my product. From what I have already seen, I have every confidence that IDEA will continue to do a superior job with my product.

After being a tightrope walker, you tend to be very careful and cautious about every step that you take, making sure to have a safety net incase you fall. I became very skeptical and always tried not to get over-excited or put all my eggs in one basket. IDEA’s work on my product has made me extremely happy and done an amazing job developing my product into a design which could be marketed towards bigger multiple markets, but they also became my safety net.
